Mitzi & I were married on August 12, 1979 at the Castle Inn in Old Saybrook, CT. To the left is a picture of the ceremony booklet that Mitzi designed so guests could follow along. To the right is a picture of our us in front of our house. This is the house where I was born and Mitzi passed away, both in the same room.
In Front Of Our House
Recordings from our wedding
To the right are three recordings from our wedding. Richard Robinson (head engineer from Trod Nossel Recording Studios) recorded these as a wedding present. The top recording is wedding precession music and Janet Tennison singing a killer version of one of my songs "Your love Is All I Feel". The middle recording is our wedding ceremony and the bottom is Janet Tennison singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". I chose the music and it was a surprise to her. When Mitzi heard the beginning of "Over The Rainbow" she thought it was one of my songs. I wish!
The movie to the right → was filmed on March 2, 1986 at the Castle Inn @ Cornfield Point in Old Saybrook, CT. I chose the music as I did for our wedding and didn't tell anyone. The song Beautiful Boy was written by John Lennon for his son Shawn. I thought it a perfect song to sing for Matthew.
The top movie to the left ← is the last part of the naming ceremony. The middle movie is Darling Matthew. I wrote the song a day or so before and Mitzi knew nothing about it. It was the 1st performance of the song. Even I hadn't heard it before! The bottom movie shows "Best Of Friends " Sue holding Matthew and some of our guests.
The above song The Mother In You I wrote for Mitzi for Mother's Day 1998. I gave it to her along with a card I made containing the lyrics. I totally forgot about the song until recently when I found them while looking through some plastic bins. She saved everything! I'm glad she did.
Sweet Memories
Mitzi's mom Margaret died in 1994. Sweet Memories was originally written for Margaret. I wrote the actual lyrics but it was Mitzi's thoughts, ideas and direction that created the song. For that reason I think it is a nice tribute to her.
